Welcome to the official Apple Expo Canada 2011 Blog

Law & Apples

After talking a bit about the iPad and the healthcare industry, we’ll now turn our attention to how Apple products are used in the practice of law. Surprisingly, there are a lot of blogs out there that specifically focus on how lawyers integrate Macs and other Apple products in their everyday routines. When explaining why they switched over from PCs, these lawyers all share 3 reasons:

1) Reliability

2) Ease of use

3) Security

Considering the cases that lawyers handle are highly confidential, it is to no surprise that they want systems that can provide the highest security possible. For those who practice law or are just interested in what lawyers have to say about using Apple, here’s a list of some useful resources we found:

The Mac Lawyer- Using his own experiences, Ben Stevens writes a very detailed post on how lawyers use macs to practice law and serve their clients

Apple Briefs- Jeffrey Kabbe explains why you should use Macs in a law firm

A Mac Lawyer’s Notebook- Using Macs in law practices

Tablet Legal- A blog that offers tips on using the iPad

Perhaps you practice law using just PCs… or maybe you’re in the same shoes as these bloggers who use Apple exclusively. Let us know how your experience has been!

Macs in Law will also be one of the many seminars that is taking place at the Apple Expo on the 13th. Remember, there’s less than a week left so register now!
